  • Almost 450 six to nine year old Bio Medical Engineers will take part in Ireland's first ever Junior FIRST Lego League final tonight in The Radisson Blu Hotel in Galway! The senior level of the competition has been running for four years now in this country and has been hugely successful with Irish teams winning awards on a European and International level almost every year since they first got involved in 2007.. .Junior FIRST Lego League offers younger children the opportunity to learn in teams how to problem solve and how to apply real world maths and science to this learning. Teams of students partake in a non-competitive atmosphere that promotes the philosophy of FIRST; "Igniting young minds, Teaching life skills, Nurturing passions for science and technology and Practicing "Gracious Professionalism(TM)."..Ready for the event is George Ukwuoma (6) from Scoil Chaitríona, Renmore, Galway..
