  • 16/02/2014  St Kilian's1  Roebuck Road Clonskeagh(pictured with Paul Sleem MC and Yvonne McArdle SAP) at the 8th annual SAP FIRST LEGO League challenge in Galway!  The global theme for this year’s competition; “Nature’s Fury” was very apt for Irish Students and many of the projects were inspired by recent disastrous impact of the weather in local communities.<br />

The winners, SGC Robotics from St. Gerald’s Secondary School in Castlebar, will now go on to represent Ireland at the European finals of the competition in Spain in May. They will follow in the footsteps of other very successful Irish teams who have in the past been recognised and awarded prizes on the international stage.<br />
Bernard Kirk, Director, The Galway Education Centre who brought the FIRST LEGO League to Ireland 8 years ago and have hosted it every year since, “ We see these students not just as LEGO and robotics experts, they are architects, engineers and genuine enthusiasts.   • 16/02/2014  Colaiste na Coirbe  (pictured with Paul Sleem MC and Yvonne McArdle SAP) at the 8th annual SAP FIRST LEGO League challenge in Galway!  The global theme for this year’s competition; “Nature’s Fury” was very apt for Irish Students and many of the projects were inspired by recent disastrous impact of the weather in local communities.<br />

The winners, SGC Robotics from St. Gerald’s Secondary School in Castlebar, will now go on to represent Ireland at the European finals of the competition in Spain in May. They will follow in the footsteps of other very successful Irish teams who have in the past been recognised and awarded prizes on the international stage.<br />
