Repro free.Ireland trailblazes with first ever Irish Junior Mini Sumo Robot Tournament..Niamh Kennedy with her robot Brownie from Villers school Limerick at the Galway Education Centre on the west coast of Ireland who hosted Irish students from all over the country and led the way as they competed in the inaugural Irish Junior Mini Sumo Robot Tournament - the first tournament of its kind in either Ireland or the UK.  Run by Robotics Ireland, the critical aim of this event was to encourage young Irish students to recognise the vital role which Robots will play in all of our futures and to inspire them to embrace this in a creative and fun way. 84 students from 9 schools all over the country competed against each other over the course of the day to see which of their 40 robots would survive and claim the title Irish Junior Mini Sumo Robot Champion for the very first time  Photo:Andrew Downes..
