28/03/2016Along the R336 at Inverin, Connamara the seven signatories of Easter 1916 stand overlooking Galway Bay.
These artworks were created by Dara McGee a local set designer and artist for the centenary celebrations of 1916 for the local national school, Scoil Sailearna.
The 7' tall cut-outs of the signatories are made from plywood and painted with acrylic paint. Each cut out is painted on both sides so no matter whether travelling east or west along the cois fhairraige road you can see these artworks.
They are proving very popular judging by the amount of cars that pull in to photograph them.
