07/12/2014 Linda McMahon, Kilcolgan, Mary Linnane, Kinvara and Fidelas Bermingham Kinvara,
at The Pier Head, Kinvara for Oiche Nollaig na mban (night out for the chicks!) started out as a fun Christmas night for the ladies. Organised by Mary Moloney, Ruth sexton, Valerie Forkan, Sarah Linnane & Jackie Veale, the women quickly decided to make it a fundraiser. Being a women's night the obvious charity of choice was breast cancer awareness, the NBCRI was the chosen beneficiary. 120 participated in the chain link, all sporting a variety of pink bras! Some Christmas carols at the village tree while hanging the bras on the tree was another highlight! PHOTO:Andrew Downes
