07/12/2014 Jessica Mullins, Ballyvaughan, with Rosemary Burke, Maria Murphy and Siobhan Coen from Ballinderreen, at The Pier Head, Kinvara for Oiche Nollaig na mban (night out for the chicks!) started out as a fun Christmas night for the ladies. Organised by Mary Moloney, Ruth sexton, Valerie Forkan, Sarah Linnane & Jackie Veale, the women quickly decided to make it a fundraiser. Being a women's night the obvious charity of choice was breast cancer awareness, the NBCRI was the chosen beneficiary. 120 participated in the chain link, all sporting a variety of pink bras! Some Christmas carols at the village tree while hanging the bras on the tree was another highlight! PHOTO:Andrew Downes
