Fashionistas, mark your diary as Galway Fashion Week hits the city from 8th – 12th March 2016. The line-up features everything you’d expect from an international style event including; The Irish Fashion Innovation Awards, ‘Model Walk’ where the city centre becomes the catwalk, fashion trails and industry workshops.<br />
The highlight of the week must include the Irish Fashion Innovation Awards, taking place on Thursday 10th March at the Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa, Galway. A selection of Ireland’s most creative designers, from established to emerging talents, have been shortlisted in five prestigious categories including: Millinery Designer of the Year, Jewellery Designer of the Year, Accessory Designer of the Year, Student Designer of the Year as well as the coveted title of ‘Fashion Designer of the Year’. One of the lucky category winners will also receive the overall Innovation Award. The crème de la crème of the fashion industry attended the Irish Fashion Innovation Awards last night, hosted at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Galway City. Often referred to as the Irish Fashion Oscars, the 42 shortlisted designers took to the catwalk producing a world class showcase of Irish design. The awards, now in their 7th year, recognises the creative talents of Irish fashion designers from emerging students to established Irish labels. <br />

Jewellery Designer of the Year is Emma Bourke from Westport Mayo at the Irish Fashion Innovation awards in the Radisson Blu Galway.<br />
